Daily Tasks & Addon Scrolls Work in progress

This system is still being built. This page shows how it is going to work, more or less: numbers, rewards and tasks can still change before it goes live, and we will keep this page up to date.

The idea: every day you will be able to hunt for a reward. Talk to the Daily Tasks NPC in Thais and pick one task: kill 100 of a monster and report back for experience and crystal coins. The harder tasks (serpent spawns, grim reapers and soon demons) also give an Addon Scroll. You choose which task to do, you can pick the same one again every day, and one task can be finished per day.

How it is going to work

1. Say hi, then tasks
   The NPC lists the tasks. Say the monster name (for example dragon lord) to start it. Pick the one you like: you can only have one task at a time.
2. Kill 100 of that monster anywhere in the game
   Every kill is counted and you get a message with your progress. Say status to the NPC to check it.
3. Go back and say report
   Experience and crystal coins are paid out, and an Addon Scroll if the task gives one. Changed your mind before you finish? Say cancel and pick another task.
4. A new day starts at midnight (server time)
   You can finish one task per day, and you can choose the same task every day or a different one. There is no level requirement.

Some example tasks (planned)

These rewards are the current plan and may be adjusted. The experience is planned as a fixed amount, paid out as listed and not multiplied by the experience stages. More to come: more tasks are planned, for example demons, hellspawns, nightmares, plaguesmiths and many more monsters.

Addon Scrolls

An Addon Scroll unlocks one addon on an outfit you already own. Two scrolls give you both addons of an outfit.

• Which tasks: only the harder tasks give an Addon Scroll: serpent spawns and grim reapers, and demons when that task arrives. More scroll tasks will come with the new tasks.
• How many: 1 Addon Scroll with such a task, and since only one task can be finished per day, that is at most one scroll per day.
• How to use it: keep the scroll in your backpack and type !addon <outfit name> <1 or 2> in the game, for example !addon citizen 1. Then open the outfit window (Ctrl+G) and wear it.
• See your outfits: type !addon alone. It lists your outfits and which addons you have.
• Nothing is wasted: if the outfit is not yours, the name is wrong, or you already have that addon, the scroll is not used.
• Trading: Addon Scrolls can be traded, given away or sold to other players.
• Look and use: looking at a scroll or using it also explains all this.

Questions

Where does the scroll go? Into your backpack. If you cannot carry it, it is placed on the floor at your feet.
Do outfits themselves come from tasks? No, only addons. You must already own the outfit.
Is progress kept if I log out? Yes. Your task and kill count are saved with your character.
